New DAIDS Critical Events Training e-learning module

DAIDS has developed a new e-learning training on the DAIDS Critical Events Policy and Manual. This e-learning module was developed from the Critical Events session at the DAIDS Regional Training Event in South Africa in August 2012. The purpose of this training is to:

  • Teach staff how to recognize when a critical event has occurred; identify and classify the specific critical event or events
  • Report the critical event to appropriate contacts within required timeframes
  • List or formulate the appropriate corrective action(s) and the steps that are necessary to address the critical event.

Flash player must been installed on your computer to view the presentation and speakers or a headset is required to hear the audio portion of the training.

This training is available on the DAIDS Learning Management System. Users must have a DAIDS LMS account to access this training. To register for a DAIDS LMS account, click here. To locate the Critical Events training in the DAIDS LMS, after logging in, enter "critical events" in the "Catalog" search field.
